The characteristics of the tree:

The apple tree of medium strength, produces mainly on long branches. It is the variety with the largest share of apple production in Romania.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruits are resistant to transport, handling and storage, of medium size and tronconic shape.

The skin is thin, red-hot, usually without stripes, sometimes with rust in threads form.

The white-yellow, juicy, sweet pulp has a very intense, very characteristic flavor, of high quality for eating.

Fruits are medium/large: 140-150g

Fruits can be stored for up to 6 months under special conditions. To be consumed fresh.

Rootstock: MM 106

Diseases and pests: variety susceptible to apple oidium.

Pollinators: Golden, Starkrimson Delicios, Idared.

Harvest season:Winter variety, after September 25th.

Planting: February-April and October-November.


Mar GOLDEN DELICIOUS
The characteristics of the tree:

The apple tree of medium strength, produces on long branches. The crown is globular and crowded. It is a diseases susceptible variety, but productive and of superior quality.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruits preserve well if properly harvested.

They are large, spherical, yellow, with large and rare rust spots.

The pulp is yellowish, crispy, juicy, very sweet, slightly acidified, with pleasant aroma.

It is the favorite variety of most consumers.

Fruits are medium or large: 140-180g. Fruits can be preserved between 6 and 8 months under special storage conditions.

Rootstock: MM 106

Pollinators: Gala, Idared

Harvest season:Winter variety, after October 5th.

Planting: February-April and October-November.


Mar FLORINA
The characteristics of the tree:

Obtained in France at the Angers Resort and introduced in agriculture in 1977, licensed for production in our country in 1993.

It results from crossbreeding of Jonathan variety with a complex hybrid (621-1) vector of the Vf resistance gene, inherited from Malus Floribunda 821.

The tree of super middle vigor, with good branching and fruition on long and short formations.

Production is constant and can easily reach 30-40 t/ha.

It is resistant to apple scab, but slightly sensitive to mildew.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruit is medium-large, 150-180 g, slightly tronconic, with greenish yellow skin, covered with red orange on 2/3 of the surface, attractive.

The pulp is firm, juicy, slightly acidic, with specific flavor and good taste.

Rootstock: MM 106

Diseases and pests: resistant to apple scab, but slightly sensitive to apple oidium.

Pollinators: Golden Delicious, Granny Smith.

Harvest season: october, is well preserved until March.

Planting: February-April and October-November.


Mar IDARED
The characteristics of the tree:

Variety obtained in USA from the crossbreeding of Jonathan x Wagner, introduced in the culture in 1942.

Licensed in Romania in 1979.

The tree very vigorous, with branched port, early, gradually blooming, very productive and quite constant.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruit is rather large, slightly spherical shape, greenish yellow, red covered on 1/2 of the surface.

The pulp is white-yellowish, crisp, acidified, of good quality. It is considered to be the best preserved variety, without loss in storage.

Rootstock: MM 106

Diseases and pests: Robust resistance, but has a slight sensitivity to mildew.

Pollinators: Ionagold si Gala.

Harvest season: from the beginning of October, is kept very well until April.

Planting: February-April and October-November.

The characteristics of the tree:

The tree of medium force, of the spur type, with fruiting on short fruit formations.

It is self-fertile, good pollinator, constantly harvests in time, it is early and shows better plasticity compared to the others in the delicious group.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruit is medium to large, 150-180g, elongated tronconic, with red colored skin and lentils.

The pulp is white-yellowish, slightly greenish, with medium consistency. It is sweet, devoid of acidity with intense melon flavor.

Rootstock: MM 106

Pollinators: Golden.

Harvest season: from the end of September till March.

Planting: February-April and October-November.


Mar SUMMERRED
The characteristics of the tree:

The tree is rather vigorous and belongs to the 3rd type of fructification.

Strong growth of the young tree with flattened crown. Keen to overloading and biannual plumage. Early flowering.

It is a Canadian variety obtained by crossing the McIntosh and Golden Delicious varieties

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruits are medium-sized, tronconically-elongated, colored in vivid red, with whiteish subcutaneous spots.

The strong red bark has white dots. The red color may also appear on the pulp beneath the bark.

The pulp is white and hard, sometimes is pink immediately under the skin. The taste is light sour, fragrant.

Rootstock: MM 106

Pollinators: Idared.

Harvest season: la mid-August. It keeps its qualities until the end of September.

Planting: February-April and October-November.


Mar VISTA BELLA
The characteristics:

The tree is medium-strength, with well-trained branches and low forking. It is early, produces moderate and is sensitive to the main apple diseases.

The fruits are medium-sized, red-striped, juicy and light flavored.

Harvesting season: the first and second decades of July.


Mar JONAGOLD
The characteristics of the tree:

Jonathan + Golden Delicious crossbreeding

The tree is highly vigorous

The crown is flattened, sparse.

Fruit branches tend to be pendent.

Typically, from one inflorescence remains a single fruit.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruit is large in size (220-250 g), spherical shaped.

Yellowish pulp, very dense, flavored, taste very good.

The base color is green, covered 30-45% with light red. They can be stored for up to 8 to 10 months under special conditions.

The characteristics of the tree:

It looks like the parents of this variety are Lady Hamilton and Granny Smith. Old variety, introduced since the 1950s.

The tree is above average vigor, sensitive to scab, very sensitive to bacterial fire.

It is also known as a very productive, hasty breed.

Requires attention to zoning, as it prefers a warmer climate and a longer vegetation period.

They are sensitive to frost, drought and burn.

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruits are medium size, spherical-conical, smooth and uniform, bicolored, having the green-yellow background color, covered with red shades on about half of the surface of the epicarp.

Pulp is white-green, firm, succulent, with good flavor

Harvest season: Winter breed, harvested in mid-October, warehouse storage until March.


Mar GENEROS
General features:

Variety obtained at S.C.P.P. Voinesti and homologated as a new breed in 1983. Genitors: (Parmain D'Or x M.Kaido) x (Jonathan x H 53-39-2) x Beautiful of Voinesti.

The characteristics of the tree:

The tree is above average vigorous, quickly fruiting, mostly on short branches, spikes.

The crown is conical, with solid skeleton branches, well garnished with fruit branches.

Scab resistance is polygenic. Needs a small number of treatments

The characteristics of the fruit:

The fruit is large, 160-190g, spherical or slightly flattened, slightly asymmetrical. Smooth skin, slightly covered with pruin, light red on 60-70% surface, on green-yellow background.

Pulp is yellow, smooth texture, juicy, pleasant, finely flavored.

Rootstock: MM 106

Harvest season: winter variety, beginning in October.

Consumption season: from December to March.

Planting: February-April and October-November.
